Sankhuwasabha is the hilly districts of Nepal. It is situated in the eastern development region. The district is named after Sankhuwa and Sabhaya two big Hill screams of the district. The area of district is 3468.18 square kilometer. The district is famous Arun Valley 487 meter, the lowest land in the world.Makalu Barun National park and Buffer Zone area (1500 km2) was established in 1992 by the Makalu Barun conservation project and department of National park and Wild Life Conservation HMG/ Nepal. Sankhuwasabha is full of natural cultural biological diversity. We can find rare animals and flowers different kinds of butterflies, The Makalu Barun Area is little is little know to most tourists due to its relative inaccessibility .But those few hundred trekkers and mountaineers who visit each year's come away with and unforgettable experience. For more than 50 years trekking from tumbling tar to Mt. Makalu Base camp has been popular among the tourists.
